Back in August I spent an evening in the mountains with these high school sweethearts and it was seriously the best. They are both such kind, fun, wonderful people and watching them interact is so heart-warming. You’ll see what I mean for yourselves scrolling through these photos. We made our way up to Manning Park with visions of alpine meadows and a beautiful sunset. We almost didn’t go in the end because smoke from our BC wildfires rolled in the day of the shoot but I’m so glad we decided to just go for it because we got some stunning, hazy views and the prettiest sunset glow through all that smoke. And man, couples like this are what make me fall in love my job and the process of photographing people in those months of preparing for marriage all over again. In the middle of a busy, busy, busy wedding season, my time with Jayden + Kaitlyn left me feeling inspired with the energy I needed to finish off my summer season. I can’t wait to photograph them again next summer when they become husband and wife! xx
