I haven’t been second shooting this year because my own little business has been wonderfully busy and I don’t want to burn out before wedding season is over. But I did have a few free weeks late July to early August so when my friend Chris Montgomery asked me to second shoot for him I decided to go for it – especially when I heard it was going to be Wellbrook Winery, which isn’t typically open as a wedding venue but is an absolute dream. The entire day was relaxed and so fun. Yuzo + Colleen are kind and were so beautiful to photograph. They didn’t have a bridal party so we got to spend a lot of time with just them and I love all of the photos we captured. After the ceremony we just drove along one of the backroads in Delta stopping by a cornfield, a pretty little yard that the homeowners graciously let us invade, and eventually, the ocean. Colleen even climbed a tree in her dress, heels, and all. One of my favourite parts of the day was witnessing the love that these two have for each other and for their families. They share such special bonds with their parents and siblings and it was so wonderful to see. All in all, about as perfect as a wedding day can get. Thank you for having me along Chris, I had a blast!
