Kyle & Emma // Penticton Wedding

I first met Kyle + Emma back in the early summer of 2019 when they inquired about their May 2020 wedding. These high-school sweethearts were planning were planning a fun celebration in Emma’s hometown of Kaleden and their wedding sounded like a dream from start to finish so I was naturally so excited when they decided to book. We met up again a few months later at Golden Ears Park to take their engagement photos – it was a grey, drizzly day but they made of it and together we created such fun images. That flexible, and joyful attitude served them well when things changed started to change so quickly in 2020. When we found ourselves in the middle of a global pandemic, Kyle and Emma re-adjusted their plans and decided to get married on their original date anyways. It ended up being an incredibly special day and speaks to how incredible these two are (along with their wonderful friends and family). They radiate warmth and kindness. Their wedding day was fun and heartfelt and so special. Even though it looked nothing like they planned it was truly perfect. Emma messaged me a few months later and said “honestly looking back I wouldn’t change the way our wedding went down! There is something so special about an intimate wedding!” I couldn’t agree more and this day made me that much more excited for my own intimate wedding. I truly hope this encourage all of the Covid brides who are changing plans and readjusting with the ever shifting restrictions. Your day does not have to be any less special or significant because of what is going on around us. In this unpredictable and often stressful time in history, I am so so grateful to be able to work with such sweet couples. Thank you for choosing me as your photographer Kyle & Emma. It was such an honour!
