I first met Angela after these two booked me for to be their wedding photographer. We met up for coffee and ended up talking for two hours and although it was the first time we met “in real life” it kind of felt like I was grabbing coffee with an old friend. Mostly because Angela is such a warm, kind, wonderful person but also because we have SO many mutual friends – both from those younger years and from university although our paths never crossed until Angela and Derek got engaged and started looking for a wedding photographer. I didn’t get to meet Derek until their engagement photos because he is currently getting his masters in Ontario but when I did finally meet him I could totally see why this was the man who had won Angela’s heart. He is just as kind and thoughtful as she is and she has a different sort of happy smile when he was around. I literally could have photographed them together all day.

They are having an outdoor wedding in July and wanted to do something different for their engagement photos so we went hunting for snow. Thankfully that isn’t took hard of a task with all our beautiful west coast mountains and we decided on Seymour. That Tuesday morning was perfectly sunny and we ended up taking my favourite engagement photos to date – it was very had not to share all of them haha! So without two much more of my rambling, meet Angela + Derek!
